The M12 and ML12 are pancake-type force sensors designed to measure both tension and compression loads, with nominal capacities ranging from 1 kN to 2,000 kN. Built entirely from stainless steel, they offer IP65 or IP67 protection and withstand up to 150% of their nominal load without damage.
The M12 version achieves a linearity error below ±0.15%, while the ML12 version offers ±0.3%, both with a 2 mV/V output signal. A wide range of options lets you tailor the sensor to your application: ATEX/IECEx certification for hazardous areas, SIL rating, 4–20 mA or 0–10 V analog output, MD1 load button, connector output or custom cable length. Designed and manufactured in France by Metro.
M12 and ML12 force sensors are pancake-type load cells designed to measure both tension and compression forces. Available in a wide range of capacities from 1 kN up to 2,000 kN, they meet the needs of testing laboratories as well as the most demanding industrial environments.
Their compact, rugged stainless steel design ensures excellent long-term durability, even in harsh conditions. With IP65 or IP67 protection, they are resistant to dust and water jets, allowing installation directly on machinery or outdoors.
The range comes in two versions to suit the exact requirements of each application.
To meet the specific constraints of each installation, the M12 · ML12 can be fitted with a wide choice of options:
The MD1 load button, available as an accessory, makes it easier to apply compression loads and ensures proper load centering.
