The M2 is the last generation tool for doing dimensional control from 1 or 2 probes.

Several version are available allowing you to connect :

- Inductive probes (Metro, Tesa compatible (example Tesa GT21) and Mahr (example Mahr P2004M)

- Incremental probes (Heidenhain (example Heidenhain MT101), Magnecale DK with an adaptor and Mitutoyo LG with an adaptor)

- Linear scales (Heidenhain, Magnescale)

Thanks to its intuitive menus and its general simplicity the M2 is a device that will be immediately adopted by every operator.

Its housing machined in a solid aluminium block offers to the M2 an incomparable robustness.

The M2 is equipped with a nice 4''3 colour touch screen display which allows an easy configuration thanks to the drop down menus, the icons and the functions buttons.

The measurement is displayed digitally and with 2 types of bargraph.

FUNCTIONS

 

Many functions and measurement mode can be selected through the keyboard:

 

  • Tolerance limits , Dimension of the master piece (reference piece) .
  • Calculation formula
  • Calibration
  • Absolute or relative measurement
  • Measurement direction inversion
  • Keyboard locking
  • Display resolution (from 2 to 5 decimals)
  • Metric (µm or mm) or imperial measurements (inches)
  • Selection between 2 measurement configurations (2 characteristics)
  • Automatic change of program by moving the probe
  • Different languages installed. New language can be installed upon request

 

USB Connection

 

The M2 is fitted with a mini-USB connector with 2 functions :

1. Power supply through a wall mounted transformer. This transformer supplies a regulated 5V/1A DC voltage.
2. Measurement transmission. If you connect your M2 to a PC, the PC will detect and install automatically the M2 as a standard USB keyboard with the standard drivers of your operating system (Windows, Mac OS etc..). When you will send the measurement, the value will be writting on your PC screen where your cursor is, in the same way as it would have been typed with a keyboard.
No need to install any specific driver or software.

APPLICATION EXAMPLE

 


Retrofiting snap gages that are mounted with indicators gives additionnal features and increases consequently efficiency on workshops and reduces costs as well as error risks. The measurement is clearly shown on the M2 screen and the result also with useful green/red indicator. The M2 facilitates the operator's job by switching automaticaly the part reference on the screen by moving the probe tip. When the M2 is configured, the operator has just to place the parts on the snap gauge and that's all. Then, the measurement can be sent to a central SPC/ERP software.

Magnescale probe adapter for M2/M3 TTL : (ref 24062 )

 

This cable allows to connect 1 Magnescale probe on a M2 (ref 15000)/M3 (ref 13000) display. It integrate an electronic board that manages the error signal form the Magnescale probes.

Mitutoyo LG adapter for M2/M3 TTL : (ref 24061 )

 

This cable allows to connect 1 Mitutoyo probe on a M2 (ref 15000)/M3 (ref 13000) display.

RS232 communication cable: (ref 45160 )

 

This cable allows to connect a M2 /M3 display to a computer.

Heidenhain M23/11µA to D-SUB 15 adapter for M2/M3 11µA/1Vpp : (ref 84100 )

 

This cable allows to connect 1 Heidenhain probe like MT12 or MT25 with the round M23 connector on a M2 (ref 15020)/M3 (ref 13020) display.

This cable allows to connect a M2 /M3 display to a Multiplexer Mux from Metro.

RS232 to USB communication cable: (ref 45173 )

 

This cable allows a M2 /M3 display to communicate with a computer. It creates a virtual COM port on the computer. It is delivered with a driver on a CD.
